Following on from the launch of the CrossPolo and CrossGolf earlier this year, Volkswagen is now completing (unless, that is, the company plans to jack up the Jetta...) its family of soft-roaders with the presentation of the new CrossTouran. In essence, the car is a plastic body kitted version of the standard Touran minivan blessed with an extra road clearance and a more rugged, off-road look.

Volkswagen's UK dealers are now accepting orders for the redesigned 2011 Touran minivan with first deliveries set to take place on 22 September. Prices for the seven-seater MPV range from £17,585 on the road for the Touran with the 1.2-liter TSI petrol, to £25,535 for the range-topping Sport model with a 2.0-liter TDI diesel and DSG transmission.
